I don't know how to use this anymore!  And I never do.  I've only kept my account so I can keep reading what other people post, but there are now only about three people i know who are still using xanga.  Hmmmm....
I blog at a different website now:  http://kbsnodgrass.blogspot.com/
so If you're interested in my blog still, check that one out.  I don't feel like watching xanga try to keep up with myspace.  I also have a facebook account which I keep updated.

Hum.  Now I need to rant about something really stupid.  Xanga just had us change our passwords, which really annoyed me.  They think everyone needs to have a password longer than six letters with numbers and letters in it.  WEll, I ALREADY DID.  And it took me like, five minutes to put the new stinking password in (partly becasue I had to try just keeping the same one and that wouldn't take).  You know those verification letters that they have you put in sometimes so that they know it isn't spam coming in through blogs?  I can never read them!  Probably three times out of four, I have to type it in more than once.  Maybe it uses some part of the brain that mine is weakened in.  Or something stupid like that.  I've had the same password since my senior year of high school.  I kjnow, it's foolish, but only one other person knows it and that's because he often needs to use my accounts for things.  It's a great password.  Unless you have computer hacker skills, you'd never get it.  Which is why it's so great.  Much better than my other one.  Which anyone could have guessed.

So anyway.  My sister left for college this morning.  Far, far away.  In the south.  Stupid south.
Yeeeah.  And I got some decorations I ordered like, two months ago yesterday so I'm trying to think of where to hang them.  When you live in a cement house, everything you hang is so... committal.  You have to go and drill holes and put those plastic sinks in and then there's always a hole.  A very visible hole.  And I don't like having to drill things...

Connections

We all know people who seem to know everyone.  You go to the mall with them--or anywhere for that matter--and they always see at least one person they know.  My mother-in-law is one of them.  And there are others.  My best friend is another.  Especially around here, her hometown, she stops and talks to so many people.  I know lots of people like that, and it's really fun when you realize that someone else you know happens to know that person.

Today something like that happened to me, only it's kind of creeping me out.  I'm not sure how it works.  A girl who was roommates with my friend Meagan in college sent me an e-mail.  It was weird to begin with because we were never really good friends, although I really liked her and we got along fine.  but I haven't heard from her in about six years, and neither has her roommate who is my friend.  So I get an e-mail.  And I happen to notice in the headers that the first people on the sent to list are people I know.  "Hmm." I think.  That's odd.  I wonder how they know them.  And then I look at the rest of the list, and it's actually sent to an entire group of people I know.  Not people from my college, the college I went to with her.  but people from ISU.  From FCA at ISU.  I was realy confused.  It's been bothering me all day.  Mostly because I can't figure out how she knows that particular group of people without my ever having seen her or heard of her being around there.  It's straaange.  Well.  I've come up with two solutions.  The first one is that she's dating someone who was in that group of people and somehow managed to become best friends with all of them (even though they all have graduated and moved to the four corners of the world).  The other is more plausible.  She accidentally clicked "respond to all" instead of "respond" and unwittingly sent her e-mail to the rest of this group of people.

I think the latter is the likely answer, because today I happened to be looking at e-mails sent from a person who I know from FCA at ISU, and noticed that it had been sent to the same list of people Kristin's e-mail was sent to.  Hmmm.  I still don't know how those two know each other, however.  It's kind of strange.

This is just freaking sweet.  I can't help it.  I love Batman.

we went to adventureland on Friday and rode roller coasters.  Arlene stayed with a friend.
Things have been weird lately.  I think too much.  I really do.  it's a good thing I'm not single, because I'd probably be a pretty depressed person who sat around and thought too much.  I do enough of that as it is, and I have a lot of company to keep.  I guess I dont feel like elaborating on things.
I can't believe we're already half way through July.  Alrene is 8 months old now.
I'm looking forwrad to August because my roommate is going to visit, and I'm taking a trip to Chicago to visit my friends (hopefully).  And my cousin's getting married, which will make her only the second one out of 21 of us.  I am not the oldest, and she's younger than even I am.  I guess Rusty's aren't quick to marry.
